simple christmas

It may sound like a beautifully elusive notion in a season of too much everything. Quiet pauses and gentle moments often seem just a few steps beyond our reach during the holidays. Not that the first Christmas was any less complicated or exhausting. By all accounts it wasn’t. But the birth of Salvation into messiness of life, the advent of Love into the midst of chaos and brokenness speaks of a God whose rescue comes right when we need it. And since that message gets so easily lost in the busyness of Christmas, my hope is that these simple songs and carols will quiet your heart and give you a moment to celebrate the night that God came to earth.
